Closeness and touch, friendship and togetherness, mutual support and solidarity - in both real and virtual terms, current relationships must be subject to a rethink. In its contribution to the opening evening of Le Studio, the Golden Pixel Cooperative has dedicated itself to a translation of these challenges into a visual language for the senses.

The pair of lovers - the theme of the evening - is questioned by the cooperative both on an interpersonal level, and in terms of media. Part of the program is presented as a screening in the cinema space, while installations occupy the exhibition space in the foyer and expand into the realm of touch. The question of whether the moving image must remain true to the intimate relationship with cinema or that with the exhibition space remains open.

The works in the foyer are linked by a preoccupation with the body: Olena Newkryta's work is only visible through the immediate, physical presence of the visitors themselves, Bárbara Palomino Ruiz investigates how one's own body can be used to scan and analyse the surroundings, and in Miae Son's video loop the distance between two bodies is made visible through the motion of breathing.
Lydia Nsiah's video loop Circle deals with virtual, non-verbal communication via memes and Gifs, and connects the foyer and cinema spaces. The short film programme in the cinema takes us from the duality of two clocks in the re-enactment of a well-known work by Felix Gonzalez-Torres (Enar de Dios Rodríguez), to the relationship between the artist and their sister in KatharinaViktoria (Viktoria Schmid). Katharina Swoboda's reduced video Transition invites us to reflect on the connections between one another, which leads us to a possible friendship with a parrot (Lisa Truttmann, Behrouz Rae). Finally, the cinematic short-film journey ends in the last breaths of a friendship between two girls in Iris Blauensteiner's summer, coming-of-age film.
