How does the human eye see, and how can we translate our subjective perception of color into image editing using technical tools? How can colors be analyzed, and what kind of language supports communication? The Golden Pixel Cooperative is pleased to invite you to participate in an artistic and technical workshop on color design and correction in moving images with colorist Susi Dollnig. Following an introduction to the world of color, the second part of the workshop will focus on DaVinci Resolve’s Color Page, including an introduction to basic programming concepts. Core tools such as basic grading tools, scopes, node trees, and many other functions will be explained in a hands-on manner. The main part of the workshop will take place in GPC’s color and editing studio, which is equipped with professional monitors and a DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel for this purpose.

Please register by October 7, 2022 at the latest by emailing: tech@goldenpixelcoop.com

Basic knowledge in video post-production is an advantage. Participants are asked to bring their own laptop including the required software.
The workshop will be held in German, with some technical terms in English. Participation is free of charge, but the number of available spots is limited, so registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly ask for your understanding.

Special thanks to Medienwerkstatt Wien for generously providing the venue. The technical equipment was funded through an infrastructure grant from the City of Vienna.
