On March 8, The Golden Pixel Cooperative will start a cooperation with OKTOSKOP, the weekly film program on Vienna’s community tv OKTO. In conversation with Antonia Rahofer, members of the Cooperative are presenting films that inspire and/or irritate them in their artistic and curatorial work, thereby providing insights into their diverse ways of thinking and working. For the first time, The Golden Pixel Cooperative is expanding its range of activities to include the medium of television and – together with OKTO – is looking forward to welcoming new viewers!
The retrospective "White Light" kicks off the cooperation. On March 8, International Women’s Day, Simona Obholzer and Lisa Truttmann will present short films from the Cooperative’s extensive portfolio. While the works may be different – some are performative, others documentative, acting indoors or outdoors – they have one thing in common: the use of moving images as a scope for artistic self-empowerment.

OKTO has been offering all interested parties the opportunity to bring their issues and concerns to television in a self-determined way since 2005. OKTOSKOP is the weekly film programme on OKTO.
