Why are things so important to most people? To what extent do they function as a medium for identification, how do they provide orientation? And when does a thing actually become an object? In the first edition of the Golden Pixel Talks, Lisa Truttmann and Martina Griesser-Stermscheg talk about the relationship between people and things. Lisa Truttmann, filmmaker and artist, is currently working on her essayistic cinema film “Dinge Wie Du und Ich”. Martina Griesser-Stermscheg is a museologist, curator as well as a restorer and in her daily work deals with the interaction between things and people. Golden Pixel Talks invite artists and theorists whose research fields overlap to engage in a dialogue. The artistic positions of The Golden Pixel Cooperative are expanded to include academic and sociopolitical perspectives. This creates a discursive space for a "search movement on the border between knowledge and non-knowledge" (Rheinberger 2012), as it unites research in science and art.

Her artistic exploration of the meaning of objects began after a fire incident that destroyed her living and working space. In 2021, she created the installation “Memorabilien” in response.
